Questions and Answers: Updated 2/24/26

  • If I want to perform a site visit in Yakutat, who should I reach out to?
In Yakutat, reach out to Clayton Phillips at (907) 209-2038. He should be able to give you access to the Sunrise building for a look at the existing windows.
  • Is the total contract up to $150,000.00 or is there funding from other sources?
This bidding is only for the windows and there is no othere funding. Contractors will need to specify which windows they can replace for the $150K available from the NORTHH program.
  • Reuse of the exterior vinyl siding is questionable as it is pretty brittle. There is a little bit laying around from original install but its in the same condition. Thoughts?
The interior and exterior of replaced windows will need to be trimmed out in a professional manner. So, if the existing siding isn’t an option, contractors will need to specify what it will be.
