Alaska Heat Smart is a one-stop shop available to help improve your home’s comfort, lower your heating bills and help heat your home with clean Alaskan energy. We are a Juneau-based non-profit here to answer your questions and eliminate confusion about home heating options and about switching to air source heat pumps. We can help you assess how a heat pump can work best in your home and help you estimate your potential cost savings.

Home Heat Pump Assessment

Our most popular program offers you the free opportunity to learn about how a heat pump will function in your home, what you can save, what it may cost, and more. Let us take the confusion out of the process of heat pump adoption and empower you to confidently move ahead with this bill-slashing, local, home-heating solution. To date, we’ve performed nearly 400 assessments!

Heat Pump Loan Program

Alaska Heat Smart has partnered with the True North Federal Credit Union to provide low interest loans for heat pump installations in Juneau. Interest paid on this loan is nearly always less than the monthly money saved from installing your heat pump! Learn how to apply here.
