Alaska Heat Smart has partnered with Renewable Juneau’s Alaska Carbon Reduciton Fund (ACRF) and provides administrative and technical services to the Fund. ACRF provides qualifying Juneau, Sitka, and Ketchikan households with partial to full cost coverage of air source heat pumps. Households meeting income, building, and fuel consumption requirements are eligible. Available funding will meet the needs of installations on a first-come, first-serve basis. As part of the application process, Alaska Heat Smart will help applicants determine whether a heat pump system would be cost effective and a wise addition for their home.
